BRAND NEW EP BY KASSELS FINEST! Face Ripping, bone crushing punk music from Hamburg and Kassel. SUCK will eat your soul and spit it right back into your sweaty face. Be prepared for some crazy fast, brain-wrenching guitar riffs, massive, aggressive bass sounds, thrashing, punishing drums that make you forget your own name and vocals that dig into your head like a lobotomy with a hammer drill.
In just under 13 minutes, SUCK bash their way through four new songs (well, actually three new songs and a Motörhead cover) and scream “GIMME GABBA GABBA” from the top of their lungs. Probably a reference to the Ramones' slogans GABBA GABBA HEY and Black Flag's GIMME GIMME GIMME - or rather ABBA? Either way, SUCK's musical influences all seem to come from the day before yesterday. And you can hear that on GIMME GABBA GABBA. Fuzz-soaked punk rock sometimes veers towards hardcore, sometimes towards proto-metal. You might call it versatile. But perhaps SUCK themselves simply don't know where the journey should take them. Despite the almost three-year wait between their debut album “Ribbit” (2022) and the new EP, the band can't be accused of a lack of energy on GIMME GABBA GABBA. The record is powerful as fuck.
SUCK try to carry on where others should have stopped long ago. Their mixture of straightforward punk, groovy 70s rock and thrash metal, crowned by Isabell's voice, is a force of nature. Worth the wait. GABBA GABBA.
