The dog Laika was one of the first living beings intentionally sent into Earth's orbit by human hands. The mission was named Sputnik 2. From the very beginning, her return was never part of the plan. Laika died just one hour after launch, most likely from overheating and stress. Nevertheless, the mission is considered a success. (Source: Wikipedia) 

"Born as a Dog, Died as a Gentleman" is the second studio album by the Hamburg- based band Mirror Glaze. Across a blistering 26 minutes and 12 seconds, packed into 10 dangerously fast songs, the four musicians bid a final farewell to their old credo: "garage surfers from hippie beach." Disappointment, despair, and bewildering human encounters made this expedition into the unknown possible in the first place. Recorded in Rußland, a small East Frisian satellite town, it provided the perfect backdrop for this energetic, untamed album. Return uncertain.
