Originally released 2015 on In Bloom Records. The Hamburg quintet LAST THINGS is blessed with sufficient talent. On "Shake 'Em Blues" they play experienced power pop with roots in the sixties. They can allow themselves occasional excursions into the pub rock scene, they sound as if they had released records on Stiff 35 years ago.

Graham Parker, a little Costello, Wreckless Eric, in this tradition you can see the somewhat unflatteringly named combo. Only the vocals might be a bit too laconic for some ears, moreover, the singer's strong German timbre doesn't always cut a good figure in the English-language numbers.

But that's just by the way, LAST THINGS know their craft, can play, write lyrics and songs, and "Shake 'Em Blues" is definitely their strongest contribution so far. (Ox-Fanzine)
