What comes across so loosely, slightly unintentionally, as on "Durch dich durch" - the debut album by Bachratten, only makes the positive impression of this band even more brutal.

Grungy noise guitars surf over pounding midtempo beats that attract instead of overdrive. Simply being understood. Wohlführschrammel, which is perhaps the omnipotent answer to the brokenness and gloom of the present time. But the Bachratten don't lose themselves in post-Coldplayian soapiness - which sometimes causes real pain for true guitar music fans up to Gen Alpha - but deliver guitar noise that energetically mills itself defiantly into the ears. The way we want it, love it and need it. "Durch dich durch" sounds downright condescendingly ingenious and soars to become the soundtrack of a new generation that seeks not rejection or division, but connection and love - without losing any of its energy.
