Garlands release brand new single "Polar Zones": Watch Here

Oscillating between melancholy and optimism, they celebrate the state of progression, liberation and metamorphosis.

In the song, Garlands refer to Nietzsche's poem "From High Mountains" published in his work "Beyond Good and Evil".Oscillating between melancholy and optimism, they celebrate the state of progression, liberation and metamorphosis. Musically, it is expressed in psychedelic loops and in the repeated formula "Only lonely pals who move remain with me". They conjure up a concept of youthfulness as mental agility that turns against stiffness and nostalgia, regardless of age: "Once I was young ... but now I'm better ... Young." The Polar Zones symbolize the opposite of the comfort zone. They are an anti-place of loneliness that Garlands walk through together as allies.

“A friend showed me the poem after a crisis in my life when I was going through a lot of changes. I then wrote the lyrics and later wove the different layers of the song together with Sui.” (Catharina)
